Feeding Guidelines

Small Dogs – up to 1/6 tube per day.
Medium Dogs – up to 1/4 tube per day.
Large Dogs – up to 1/2 tube per day.

Analytical Constituents: Crude Protein 15%, Fat Content 30.6%, Crude Fibres 1%, Crude Ash 1.5%, Moisture 50%

Composition: Fresh pork (53%), pork liver (40%), broth, rapeseed oil, parsley.

TASTY LIVER TREAT FAQ’s

Is this product naturally hypoallergenic? Yes, it excludes some of the most common dietary allergens (wheat/gluten, beef, soya and dairy products) or any artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives. It is also completely grain-free.

Why is there rapeseed oil in the product? A combination of tasty pork fat and rapeseed oil are used to ensure maximum palatability and the correct consistency for squeezing. Rapeseed is a good source of essential fatty acids and vitamin E which have many benefits.

Why are there no other supplements in the product? This is a complementary product to be used as a treat only.  Your dog and cat should be receiving all the nutrition they need from a complete pet food.

Can I feed this Tasty Liver Treat to my pet with pancreatitis? As with other treats and titbits, this product is NOT suitable for pets recovering from bouts of recent pancreatitis

Why a metal tube? This is due to how it is manufactured. The fresh ingredients within the paste are cooked within the aluminium tube, it therefore needs to be durable. This material is also fully recyclable.

What if my pet has a Pork allergy? If your pet has been diagnosed by a vet with a true allergy to pork protein, then this product is NOT suitable.

My dog has had digestive issues with dried pig skin/ear treats, will this be suitable? Some pork products, such as dried skins or ears are made largely from indigestible protein, and these may be problematic to sensitive animals since an incompletely digested food protein has the potential to incite an allergic response.  The fresh pork meat, liver and fat used in this product is novel with digestible nutrients and, if there is no known allergy or intolerance to pork, should not be problematic.

Is this suitable for my dog with a sensitive stomach? Absolutely, as long as your dog does not have a specific allergy to any of the ingredients or require low fat food.  However, it is unwise to give any treats close to a bout of digestive upset and allow the digestive system to rest.

Why shouldn’t I just buy pork pate from the supermarket?  Your dog will certainly find a shop bought slab or tube of human pate very appealing!  However, we urge you to read the ingredients list.  These products may contain ingredients which fall within the most common dietary allergens, are very high in sodium (salt) or are in fact totally unsuitable for consumption by cats or dogs (e.g. onions or onion powder, nutmeg, unnamed spice mixes and various artificial additives and preservatives).

What is the sodium content? 0.5% (as fed) which equates to 0.17g per 100 calories, which is lower than most pates prepared for people.

Will this help in giving medications to my dog? Yes, it is a great aid to giving mediation, either mixed in with a crushed tablet or with liquid medications on a dish. It can even be used for dogs with kidney problems as low in phosphorous.

How shall I store this product? Store in a cool dry place and once opened, store this product, lid pointing upwards, in the fridge and use within 10 days.

Important note: Always keep delicious treats far out of reach of your pets to prevent dangerous events such as pets ingesting product packaging.
